At 20 kilometres away from Montpellier and 110 kilometres from the airport of Marseille, between the Rhone and the Mediterranean Sea, the resort invites you to get in the wild territory the most enigmatic of France : La Camargue.

Just in the middle way between the Baleares and Ajaccio, the resort, very well situated for navigation,
 offers a territory where dreams and escape are possible.

In the past, the resort was a fishing village but nowadays, it is a famous bathing resort with its 18 kilometres of beaches.

You can navigate on many lakes : the pound of Ponant, the delta and the canal of the Rhone, which links Sète to the canal of Midi, registered in the world heritage of Unesco. The hollow of the bay of Aigues Mortes  is well protected from the wind.

Nautical structures at any seasons

It is an electric shuttle « the organic catamaran » which will take you to the in-land lakes, 80 hectares big.

It is an ideal place for unusual nautical sightseeing : board an habitable small barge to discover the territory of Camargue, looking for quietness on your sailing-boat on the pound of Ponant where you can compare you to the strongest in a match-racing in the Bay of Aigues-Mortes.

The most sportmen of you, are welcomed to practise jet-skiing or rowing and from the beaches, you must try surf-casting or flying-surf.

A unique atmosphere

While going on a safari tour in a 4 wheels car or on a horse-riding tour, you must discover, the moist areas where pink flamingos, horses and bulls are living.

At few kilometres away from there, discover the salt marsh of Aigues-Mortes, salt merchants job and salterns everywhere, a pure ornithological paradise.

Do not forget the sea-palace which welcomes the Seaquarium, big marine aquarium whic is also the marine mamalians’ pole.

A guenine harbour atmosphere livens up the resort all year round. And in particular, France fishing championship is taking place in the resort.
